Role: Concept & Creative Direction

The newly designed Palisade was made to fit family. In the community family is more than moms and dad, it’s the play Cousins, the non related Aunties, the Uncs…its the village. So we wanted to bring that concept of a village to images— styled to feel like a photoshoot straight to camera. We partnered with photographer Joshua Kissi to create a campaign spanning digital and physical markets, with portraits capturing what it looks like when me, you, your mama, and your cousins too show up and show out.

This shoot picked up where the TV spot left off. We pulled the Palisade deeper into the day-to-day community it was built to fit into. The goal was to highlight a range of what family actually looks like: HBCU alums, the Aunties, the Uncs, the Grands, the kids, the play cousins. The village. Every tone, hue, and styling choice was intentional, playing off the Palisade's interior and exterior to build a nostalgic hype the redesign earns.
